Tillema’s 36 lead Wis.-Green Bay past Valpo

VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP)—Ryan Tillema scored 36 points to help Wisconsin-Green Bay defeat Valparaiso 83-76 on Saturday night.

Tillema made 12 of 17 field goals, including 9 of 11 3-pointers.

Rahmon Fletcher scored 14 points, and Mike Schachtner and Terry Evans added 12 each for the Phoenix (15-6, 7-2 Horizon).

Howard Little scored 28 points and made 6 of 8 3-pointers for Valparaiso, while Jake Diebler scored 17 points and made 5 of 10 threes. Urule Igbavboa added 15 points for the Crusaders (6-15, 3-7).

The teams combined to make 27 of 51 3-pointers. Green Bay got the best of the exchange by shooting 52 percent from the field and making 14 of 25 3-pointers.

Green Bay led 44-35 at halftime. Tillema scored 25 points and made 7 of 8 3-pointers in the first half.

The Crusaders got no closer than five points in the second half.
