Dartmouth beats Harvard 75-66 in overtime
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP)—Alex Barnett scored 18 of his game-high 30 points in the second half and overtime, helping Dartmouth to a 75-66 win over Harvard on Saturday.
Jeremy Lin, who sent the game into overtime on a last-second layup, led Harvard with 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Marlon Sanders added 14 points for Dartmouth (3-13, 1-1 Ivy League). Keith Wright had eight points and 13 rebounds for Harvard (9-7, 1-1).
Barnett, Sanders, Robby Pride, Dan Biber and David Rufful all scored in overtime as Dartmouth outscored Harvard 13-4 in the extra period. Harvard scored just two points after Lin fouled out with two minutes to play in OT.
Harvard twice missed potential game-tying shots from the line on 1-and-1 situations with under four minutes to play in regulation. Dartmouth missed 1-and-1 with 20 seconds to go, paving the way for Lin’s game-tying bucket.
Dartmouth led 34-30 at halftime.
