Chicago State dominates N.C. Central 103-63
CHICAGO (AP)—David Holston scored a game-high 23 points and Carl Montgomery added 21 as Chicago State routed North Carolina Central 103-63 on Saturday night.
Mike Wilson and John Cantrell, who had nine rebounds, added 10 points apiece for Chicago State (11-9). Montgomery also had a game-high 10 assists for the Cougars.
Chicago State dominated the boards, with 62 points in the paint, compared with just 20 by North Carolina Central (2-21). The Eagles came into Saturday’s game with just two wins on the season and are 0-14 at home.
The Cougars led 59-31 at the half.
Chicago State made 17-of-33 field goal attempts, or 56 percent, compared with 11-of-34, or nearly 36 percent, for the Eagles.
Philip Branch had 15 points and Vincent Davis added 13 for North Carolina Central.
