Bucknell tops Colgate 64-62 in overtime
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP)—Darryl Shazier hit a 3-pointer with two seconds remaining in overtime Saturday night, sending Bucknell to a 64-62 victory over Colgate.
G.W. Boon scored 15 points, Bryan Cohen added 14 and Enoch Andoh had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Bucknell (5-14, 2-3 Patriot League).
Yaw Gyawu scored 18 points and Alex Woodhouse 11 for Colgate (6-12, 2-3).
Mike Venezia of Colgate hit a jumper with 1:15 left to forge a 56-all tie, and neither team scored the rest of the way in regulation.
In overtime, Bucknell used two free throws by Cohen and 3-pointers by Boon and Shazier to outscore Colgate 8-6. Boon’s 3-pointer with 1:04 left in the extra period cut a four-point deficit to one, and Shazier’s long-distance basket with two seconds left sealed the victory.
