N. Dakota St. beats S. Dakota St., 87-77 in OT

BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP)—Ben Woodside scored 30 points, Brett Winkelman added 29 and North Dakota State outscored South Dakota State 16-6 in overtime to beat the Jackrabbits 87-77 Friday in the Summit League.

The conference-leading Bison (8-1, 14-5) went 10-for-12 from the free throw line and made all three of their shots from the field in overtime to extend their winning streak to six games.

Winkelman added nine rebounds for NDSU, while Michel Tveidt had 11 points.

The Bison shot 50 percent from the field and made 18 of 22 free throws.

Garrett Callahan had 22 points for SDSU (3-6, 8-12), which has lost three in a row, including the last two in overtime.

The Jackrabbits’ Anthony Cordova had a career-best 21 points to go with eight rebounds.

SDSU shot 42 percent and outrebounded NDSU 43-37.
