Louisiana-Monroe beats Florida Atlantic 94-88

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP)—Rudy Turner had 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead Louisiana-Monroe to its first road victory of the season, a 94-88 win over Florida Atlantic on Thursday night.

The Warhawks (6-13, 2-6 Sun Belt Conference) snapped a 14-game road losing streak dating to last season and are 1-10 away from home this season.

Paul Graham III scored 29 points to lead Florida Atlantic (4-16, 0-8), which has lost 11 straight games.

Louisiana-Monroe led by 17 points with 13:35 left in the game and 85-78 with 1:06 remaining. The Owls moved within two points three times in the final minute, but couldn’t tie the score.

Dynile Forbes added 19 points, Afam Nweke scored 16 and Malcolm Thomas had 13 for the Warhawks.

Shavar Richardson scored 20, Carderro Nwoji had 14 and Alex Tucker added 12 points and had 11 assists for Florida Atlantic.
