Centenary rolls past Southern Utah 81-56
SHREVEPORT, La. (AP)—Chase Adams scored 22 points to lead Centenary to an 81-56 victory over Southern Utah on Thursday night.
Nick Stallings added 21 points as the Gents (6-14, 4-4 Summit League) won their third consecutive game.
Centenary was 22 of 31 from the field (71 percent), including going 8 of 10 from the 3-point line, in the first half to take a 55-22 halftime lead. The Gents led throughout, putting the game away with a 21-4 run for a 31-10 lead midway through the first half.
Adams, Stallings and Maxx Nakwaasah combined for five 3-pointers in that stretch.
The Gents twice led by 39 points in the second half.
Nakwaasah added 12 points and Gary Redus scored 11 points for Centenary.
Tyler Quinney led Southern Utah (6-13, 4-4) with 12 points and Davis Baker added 11.
