Presbyterian beats Gardner-Webb 72-60
CLINTON, S.C. (AP)—Ryan Bostic scored 19 points to lead Presbyterian to a 72-60 victory over the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs on Wednesday night.
The win was the second straight for the Blue Hose (8-11, 5-3 Big South Conference). Josh Johnson scored 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting, and Travis Sligh added 15 points and seven rebounds. Al’Lonzo Coleman chipped in with 14 points and 17 rebounds.
The Runnin’ Bulldogs (8-10, 4-4) were led by Aaron Lin and Nate Blank, who scored 16 points apiece. Jonathan Moore added 14 points.
Johnson’s 3-pointer with 6:59 remaining in the first half gave Presbyterian an early 29-14 lead. They led at halftime, 36-23.
Gardner-Webb got to within five points after Linn made a 3-pointer with 4:19 left in the game, but the Blue Hose went on a 13-6 run to close the game.
