SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP)—Dustin Scott scored 12 points and the College of Charleston defeated Wofford 65-63 on Thursday night.
The Cougars (13-3, 5-1 Southern Conference), who are 10-0 when leading at halftime, took a 34-28 advantage into the break.
After holding a 7-6 lead with 15:15 left in the first half, Wofford (6-7, 3-1) trailed the rest of the way until late in the second half.
Down 57-47 with 6:15 to go, Wofford used a 12-2 run, sparked by six points from Noah Dahlman, tying the game at 59 with 2:23 remaining.
The Cougars then outscored Wofford 6-4 the rest of the way.
Andrew Goudelock and Donavan Monroe scored 10 points each and Jeremy Simmons added nine rebounds for the Cougars.
Tim Johnson led the Terriers with 21 points and 17 rebounds and Dahlman added 19 points and seven rebounds.
