SE Louisiana beats Northwestern St. 84-59

HAMMOND, La. (AP)—Patrick Sullivan and Chris Cyprian scored 19 points apiece to lead Southeastern Louisiana in an 84-59 win over Northwestern State on Wednesday night.

Brandon Fortenberry added 16 points, including a 3-for-5 night from beyond the arc, for the the Lions (7-8, 1-1 Southland Conference). Southeastern Louisiana hit 7 of 15 3s as a team (46.7 percent).

Damon Jones scored 13 points, including 2-for-2 from 3-point range, to lead the Demons (7-8, 1-1) and Charles Clark added 10. The Demons hit just 4 of 14 attempts from long range.

The Lions shot 62.5 percent from the field (30 of 48) in the game compared to just a 31.7 mark (19 of 60) for the Demons.

Southeastern Louisiana jumped out early and led by 20 points at halftime, sealing the win by outscoring the Demons 39-34 in the second half.
