Coll. of Charleston beats Samford 81-74
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP)—Andrew Goudelock had 19 points and was one of four College of Charleston players to score in double figures in an 81-74 win over Samford on Monday night.
Antwaine Wiggins scored 17 points, Dustin Scott had 16 and Tony White Jr. added 14 for the Cougars (12-3, 4-1 Southern Conference). Goudelock hit 5-for-6 shots from beyond the arc, while Wiggins went 3-for-4. The Cougars hit 12 of 21 3-pointers (57.1 percent) en route to victory.
The Bulldogs (6-8, 1-4) also had four players in double-figure scoring, led by Bryan Friday and Trey Montgomery with 20 apiece. Josh Davis scored 12 points and Andy King added 11.
With the game tied at 16 with 11 minutes to play in the first, the Cougars went on a 12-4 run that helped them gain a 42-34 halftime lead. The Cougars stayed comfortably ahead the rest of the way.
