Mercer beats North Florida 75-62

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP)—James Florence scored 25 and Calvin Henry added 22 to lead Mercer to a 75-62 victory over Jacksonville on Sunday.

Henry notched a double-double, grabbing 11 rebounds to lead the Bears (8-8, 2-3 Atlantic Sun Conference). Daniel Emerson added 15 points. Henry also went 11-for-12 from the free-throw line and Florence hit 4 of 7 shots from beyond the arc.

Stan Januska led the Ospreys (3-13, 1-5) with 17 points, Eni Cuka added 14 and Cortez Riley had 12.

The Bears led by just four points at the break and the Ospreys tied the score three times in the early part of the second half, but Mercer went on a 12-4 run midway through the frame to blow the game open.

The Bears hit 9 of 18 shots from 3-point range compared to the Ospreys, who hit just 6 of 19.
