Chicago St. beats NC Central 115-96

DURHAM, N.C. (AP)—David Holston scored 33 points to lead Chicago State to a 115-96 win over North Carolina Central on Saturday night.

John Cantrell added 27 points, while Carl Montgomery and Mike Wilson had 11 apiece for the Cougars (9-8). Cantrell shot 4-for-4 from beyond the arc and Holston hit 5 of 12 for the Cougars, who hit 10 of 20 on 3-pointers.

Jamar Briscoe led the Eagles (0-18) with 32 points, Bryan Ayala added 20 and Joshua Worthy had 15. Ayala was 4-for-8 on 3s for the Eagles, who hit 11 of 26 from long range.

The teams were close in almost every category, but Chicago State made the difference by scoring 27 points off of turnovers compared to 10 for N.C. Central.
