Montana comes from behind to beat N. Arizona 62-61
MISSOULA, Mont. (AP)—Anthony Johnson scored 32 points and Jack McGillis’ free throw with 6.3 seconds remaining in the game helped put Montana past Northern Arizona 62-61 on Thursday night.
Johnson, who was 7-of-14 from the field and 18-of-19 from the free throw line, scored 20 of his points in the second half. McGillis finished with 11 points for Montana (8-7, 2-1 Big Sky).
The Grizzlies, who trailed 37-24 at the break, never led until the final seconds and were held to 36 percent shooting from the field. After McGillis’ go-ahead free throw, NAU’s Cameron Jones missed a 3-pointer as time expired.
Jones led the Lumberjacks (7-6, 1-3) with 21 points, while Zarko Comagic grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
