DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP)—Stephen Curry scored 21 points, surpassing 2,000 in his career, and Davidson beat Samford 76-55 on Saturday to continue its dominance in the Southern Conference.

Curry hit 5 of 6 3-pointers, added eight assists and got plenty of help from his teammates as the Wildcats (10-2, 3-0) cruised to their 33rd straight league win.

Will Archambault and Ben Allison added 12 points apiece for Davidson in a tuneup for Wednesday’s game at No. 5 Duke.

Bryan Friday scored 10 points for the Bulldogs (5-6), who shot 36 percent and fell to 0-2 in their first season in the Southern Conference.

Curry became the third player in school history to surpass 2,000 points when he hit a 3-pointer in transition with 3:35 left in the first half. It came in just the junior’s 82nd game, another remarkable accomplishment for last season’s NCAA tournament star.
