Cornell beats Ursinus 99-45

ITHACA, N.Y. (AP)—Ryan Wittman scored 19 points, all of them in the first half, leading Cornell to a 99-45 win over Ursinus on Saturday.

Alex Hill added 18 points for the Big Red (8-6), while Pete Reynolds and Louis Dale chipped in 10 points apiece. Cornell shot 59 percent and connected on 18 of 34 shots from beyond the arc. Wittman was 5-of-6 and Hill was 6-of-10 on 3-pointers.

Remy Cousart led Ursinus (6-3) with 13 points and six rebounds. John Noonan added 10 points for the Bears, who shot 28 percent from the floor and made three of 14 shots from the 3-point range.

Division I Cornell overwhelmed Division III Ursinus from the start, making its first eight shots of the game—including six from beyond the arc—and jumping to a 23-7 lead in the first five minutes.

Ursinus, however, outscored Cornell from the charity stripe, making 12 of 18 free throws while Cornell sank three of seven.
