BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP)—Patrick Mills scored 21 points and Omar Samhan added 20 points and 14 rebounds as Saint Mary’s beat Cal State Bakersfield 80-74 Friday.

Saint Mary’s (13-1) led 41-32 at halftime, and opened the second half with a 10-3 run to hold a 52-35 advantage with 15:31 left.

Bakersfield (4-11) closed the deficit to single digits three times in the final minute before the Gaels completed their 10th straight win.

Trent Blakley led Bakersfield with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Alex Johnson and Santwon Latunde had 16 apiece.

Diamond Simpson had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Saint Mary’s, setting a school record with 920 for his career.

Saint Mary’s outrebounded the Roadrunners 53-37, including 20 offensive boards.
