AMES, Iowa (AP)—Sophomore forward Craig Brackins had 22 points and eight rebounds as Iowa State cruised past Mercer 67-49 on Wednesday.

Brackins made it 51-35 with an alley-oop dunk off a feed from Bryan Petersen, and his 3 with 8:18 left pushed Iowa State’s lead to 58-41.
Brackins is averaging 26.5 points a game over his last four, including a 38-point outburst against Houston on Dec. 28.
James Florence had 15 points for Mercer (7-6), which fell for the third time in four games.
