Bradley beats SIU-Edwardsville 67-61
PEORIA, Ill. (AP)—Theron Wilson and Sam Maniscalco each had 17 points to lead Bradley to a 67-61 victory over SIU-Edwardsville on Tuesday night.
Wilson also added eight rebounds for the Braves. Bradley (6-5) led 37-29 going into halftime but SIU-Edwardsville (2-10) came back from the break to outscore the Braves 32-30 in the second period.
Aamir McCleary led the Cougars with 23 points and five assists. Mark Yelovich added ten points for SIU-Edwardsville, which shot an overall 39.7 percent from the field.
Bradley’s play fell off in the second period, as the Braves shot 50 percent from the field compared with 58.3 percent for the first half of the game.
SIU-Edwardsville was able to capitalize with 17 points from Bradley’s 19 turnovers.
David Collins had a game-high nine rebounds for the Braves.
Bradley shot 43.5 percent from the foul line, where SIU-Edwardsville shot 90 percent.
