Cleveland St. defeats La Roche 72-46
CLEVELAND (AP)—J’Nathan Bullock scored 18 points and added eight rebounds, leading Cleveland State to a lopsided 72-46 win over La Roche.
The Vikings (8-4) took a 3-2 lead on D’Aundray Brown’s layup 1:41 into the game on Saturday and never trailed after that. Brown had 9 points, six rebounds and five assists in the first game ever between the two schools.
Cleveland State went on a 25-8 run after La Roche’s David Culp scored the game’s first two points, and the Vikings had a commanding 36-19 lead at the half. Bullock scored 10 of the Vikings’ first 19 points and made four of his first five shots, including 2-of-3 from behind the three point line.
The Vikings scored 25 points off of La Roche turnovers.
La Roche (6-4) shot 36.7 percent from the floor and 54.5 percent on foul shots.
