Boston U beats Yale 55-43
BOSTON (AP)—Freshman Jake O’Brien scored 13 points and Corey Lowe added 12 as Boston University beat Yale 55-43 Wednesday night.
The Terriers held Yale without a field goal for almost 11 minutes in the second half. The game also saw 39 turnovers, 20 by the home team, which celebrated its 200th win at Case Center Gym.
Ross Morin led Yale (2-6) with 12 points and seven rebounds.
BU (5-3) trailed 36-33 with just over 13 minutes left but Yale scored only seven points the rest of the game. The Terriers outscored the Bulldogs, 10-1, over the next five minutes. Porter Braswell scored for the Bulldogs with 2:25 remaining to cut the BU lead to six. But O’Brien scored five straight points.
Yale scoring leader Alex Zampier, who had 53 points in the last two games, was just 2-for-14 from the field and scored five points.
