Murray leads Portland State over Seattle, 73-68

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP)—Andre Murray scored 19 points to lead Portland State to a 73-68 victory over Seattle on Saturday night.

Dominic Waters added 16 points for the Vikings (6-1), who won their 13th straight home game, while Kyle Coston scored 11 points.

Leigh Swanson paced Seattle (5-4) with 15 points and Austen Powers and Chris Gweth each added 14 points for the Redhawks.

Portland State, which led 31-28 at halftime, outscored the Redhawks 9-4 in the opening four minutes of the second half and grabbed a 40-32 lead when Waters fed Murray for an alley-oop dunk with 16:17 left to play.

Seattle managed to close within one point, 51-50, with six minutes to play before Portland State closed out the game.

Portland State played without Big Sky MVP Jeremiah Dominguez, who sat out with an injured finger.

Both teams shot 46 percent from the field and tied in rebounds with 31 each.
