San Francisco beats Long Beach State in double OT

SAN FRANCISCO (AP)—Dior Lowhorn matched his season high with 26 points and had eight rebounds and San Francisco shook off a slow start to beat Long Beach State 78-74 in double overtime on Saturday night.

Lowhorn was held scoreless in the first overtime but had five points and added a key block in the second extra period to help the Dons (6-3) hold off the pesky 49ers.

Blake Wallace added 12 points and 11 rebounds for San Francisco, which led by five points with two minutes left in the second half before Long Beach State (4-3) rallied to force the first overtime.

Donovan Morris scored 21 points to lead the 49ers, 19 coming after halftime. Morris’ tip-in off a Chris Ware miss with nine seconds left in the first overtime tied the game at 65-65.
