La Salle beats Hartford 70-64
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP)—Five La Salle players scored in double figures, including three with 14 points each, as the Exploreres defeated Hartford 70-64 on Saturday.
Kimmani Barrett, Rodney Green and Ruben Guillandreaux each had 14 for La Salle (4-3), which extended its winning streak to three games.
Yves Mekongo Mbala added 11, and Vernon Goodridge had 10 for the Explorers.
Morgan Sabia with Jaret von Rosenberg paced Hartford (3-6) with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Joe Zeglinski added 12 for the Hawks.
Hartford led by as many as eight points in the first half, but La Salle closed the gap and ended the half with a two-point lead.
La Salle maintained the lead throughout the second half, going 8-of-11 from the line in the final 2:27 of the game to seal the win.
