Delaware State beats Md.-Eastern Shore 59-48
DOVER, Del. (AP)—Frisco Sandidge had a game-high 20 points as Delaware State defeated Maryland-Eastern Shore 59-48 on Thursday night.
Sandidge missed just one shot form the field (7 of 8) and grabbed eight rebounds for the Hornets (2-9, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Conference). Delaware State outrebounded the Hawks (0-5, 0-1) 33-25. Along with Sandidge, Marcus Neal and Arturo Dubois also tallied eight rebounds apiece.
Neal scored 11 points and Dubois added 11 for the Hornets.
Marc Davis and Tyler Hines led Maryland-Eastern Shore with 15 and 10 points, respectively.
The Hawks shot just 32 percent (16 of 50), while Delaware State was 21-for-44 from the field.
