High Point beats NC Central 73-64
DURHAM, N.C. (AP)—Earnest Bridges scored a team-high 21 points to lead High Point over North Carolina Central 73-64 on Wednesday night.
Eugene Harris added 14 points and went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line for the Panthers (3-4), who shot 47.7 percent from the field (27 of 57) in the win.
Jamar Briscoe scored a game-high 26 points and went 4-for-7 on 3-pointers to lead the Eagles (0-7), who shot 33.3 percent (18 of 54).
The Panthers outrebounded the Eagles 44-33 en route to victory.
North Carolina Central actually led 35-34 at halftime before High Point went on a run in the second, building a 12-point lead with just over three minutes to go in the game.
