San Diego St. beats N. Colorado 73-62

GREELEY, Colo. (AP)—Kyle Spain scored 19 points, reaching double figures for the seventh time in seven games, as San Diego State downed Northern Colorado 73-62 Wednesday night.

Tim Shelton added a career-high 17 points for the Aztecs (6-1, 0-0), after tying his personal best of 12 points in the first half alone.

Billy White grabbed a game-high seven rebounds for San Diego State, which led 34-30 at halftime.

John Pena led the Bears (2-3, 0-0) with 12 points, including two of three 3-pointers. He was followed by Will Figures and Devon Beitzel with 10 points each.

Figures also logged six rebounds and five assists.

The Aztecs returned the favor after Northern Colorado beat them last season at San Diego. SDSU now owns an all-time record of 3-1 against the Bears.
