Cent. Connecticut St. beats Delaware 67-61

NEWARK, Del. (AP)—Ken Horton sank a pair of foul shots with 32.8 seconds on the clock to break a 61-61 tie, and Joe Seymore and Robby Ptacek each hit two more to give Central Connecticut State a 67-61 win against Delaware on Wednesday night.

The Blue Devils (3-3) won their third straight game as Shemik Thompson and Joe Seymore both scored 14 points, while Horton and Ptacek added 10 points apiece.

Central Connecticut didn?t take its first lead of the night until the opening minute of the second half. The Blue Devils led by as many as six points in a second half that featured seven lead changes and three ties. The Blue Devils made 15 of 20 free throws in the game.

Delaware (2-5) last led at 49-48 on Jawan Carter?s layup with 8:51 remaining. The Blue Hens tied the contest for the last time at 61-61 on Jim Ledsome?s dunk with 1:01 left.
