UNH rallies past Colgate 57-54
HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP)—Tyrece Gibbs had a game-high 19 points, hitting two 3-pointers in the final two minutes, and New Hampshire beat Colgate 57-54 on Wednesday night.
Tyrone Conley had 11 points and Alvin Abreu 10 for New Hampshire (2-3), which snapped a three-game losing streak.
Colgate (2-4), which has lost four straight, was led by Mike Venezia’s 15 points, while Ben Jonson had 12 points and seven rebounds and Alex Woodhouse eight points and nine rebounds.
The Wildcats won it from long range, shooting 12-for-24 from beyond the arc.
Colgate fell behind 37-27 with 12:30 left but rallied to take a 43-42 lead with 6:26 left when Woodhouse made a pair of free throws and Venezia hit a 3.
