Northwestern State defeats Centenary 90-84 in OT

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP)—Keithan Hancock scored 22 points as Northwestern State beat Centenary for the second time in 11 days, 90-84 in overtime.

Northwestern State (4-3) also won 69-66 on Nov. 21 in the LSU Classic in Baton Rouge.

The Demons outscored the Gents 17-11 in the overtime period, taking the lead with 2:15 left on a Damon Jones 3-pointer and sealing the win on 10-of-10 free-throw shooting.

The Demons made 33 of 42 free throws in the game.

Centenary (2-6), which led 35-33 at halftime and through most of the second half, rallied from a five-point deficit with 16 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

Chase Adams led the Gents with 22 points, followed by Nick Stallings and David Perez with 19 points apiece and Anthony Gatlin with 16.

Jones added 18 points for the Demons, while Michael McConathy had 14, William Mosley 12 and Devin White 11.
