Wagner upends Bucknell 83-79
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP)—Justin Drummond hit four free throws in the final minute and finished with 15 points while Joey Mundweiler had 19 points for Wagner in an 83-79 victory over Bucknell on Saturday night.
Doug Elwell scored 11 points, Michael Orock finished with 10 rebounds and seven points and Drummond hit all nine of his free throws for Wagner (4-1).
Patrick Behan scored 27 points, G.W. Boon 24 and Darryl Shazier 14 for Bucknell, which shot 9-for-22 from 3-point range in the loss.
Wagner, which shot 11-for-20 from 3-point range and 16-for-24 from the line in the win, charged to a 41-31 lead at the break.
Bucknell closed within five points, 58-53, on a free throw by Zach Evans with 11:16 left in the second half. The Bison trailed by two points with 23 seconds left after a 3-pointer by Behan, but Drummond hit a pair of free throws seconds later to hold off the comeback.
