St. Francis (N.Y.) holds off Manhattan 70-68

NEW YORK (AP)—Jamaal Womack scored 15 points and St. Francis (N.Y.) won for the first time this season, holding off previously unbeaten Manhattan 70-68 on Wednesday night.

Ricky Cadell and Stefan Perunicic added 13 points apiece for the Terriers (1-3), who led 65-59 with 41 seconds left before Antoine Pearson tried to rally Manhattan (3-1) with a trio of 3-pointers.

Kayode Ayeni and Womack each made two free throws down the stretch and Cadell hit one with 1.8 seconds remaining to help St. Francis hang on.

Pearson finished with 18 points and seven assists. Darryl Crawford added 17 points for the Jaspers, who trailed 29-27 at halftime.

Pearson shot 4-of-4 from 3-point range but 0-for-4 from the foul line.
