N.C.-Wilmington 64, Kent St. 83
KENT, Ohio (AP)—Kent State rolled North Carolina-Wilmington Sunday afternoon, building a solid second-half lead that gave the Flashes an 83-46 win.
Kent State (3-0) led by only four at the half, 40-36. The second half gave Kent the lead, at one point enjoying a 21-point advantage during the South Padre Island Invitational.
Three Kent State players went for double-digit scoring, led by Chris Singletary’s 23 points. Julian Sullinger had 18 and Al Fisher offered 17.
North Carolina-Wilmington (2-2) also had three players in double digits. Dominique Lacy posted 19, with Johnny Wolf contributing 16 and Josh Sheets with 14.
Kent State landed 29 points off turnovers to North Carolina-Wilmington’s 10. Kent State’s bench offered 14 points.
