Langford scores 22 in TCU win over McNeese St.
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP)—Kevin Langford made only four field goals all night, but his 13 points from the free throw line were enough for TCU to edge McNeese State 68-64 on Saturday night.
Langford scored 22 points in the game and was 13 of 16 from the free throw line.
Overall, TCU (2-3) was 87 percent from the charity stripe and made only 40 percent of its shots.
Zvonko Buljan was the only other player to score in double digits for the Horned Frogs with 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
P.J. Alawoya scored 21 points and pulled down 15 rebounds for McNeese State (1-2). Diego Kapelan helped round out the scoring for the Cowboys with three 3-pointers and 15 points.
