Raivio leads Portland past Yale
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP)—Junior guard Nik Raivio had 18 points and nine rebounds to lead Portland to a 77-58 victory over Yale on Friday night.
The Pilots (2-1) never trailed, although the Bulldogs (0-3) managed two early ties.

Raivio had a big first half with 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals. That helped the Pilots post a 37-25 halftime lead.
The Bulldogs stayed within striking distance through the first seven minutes of the second half but the Pilots hit seven unanswered points as Portland pushed its advantage to 18 points. Yale never recovered.
Alex Zampier led the Bulldogs with 15 points. Ross Morin, with 10 points, was Yale’s only other player in double figures.
