Lehigh beats Delaware State 76-58
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP)—Marquis Hall scored sixteen points and three other Lehigh players were in double figures in the Mountain Hawks’ 76-58 victory over Delaware State on Monday.
Phil Anderson had 16 points and eight rebounds for Lehigh (2-0), which began the season with two wins for the first time since 1997. Zahir Carrington and Rob Keefer each added 10 points for the Mountain Hawks.
Donald Johnson scored 16 points for Delaware State (1-2) while Fred Bouie had 15 and Frisco Sandidge contributed 14.
Delaware State surged late in the first half and took a 29-24 lead on a 3-pointer by Johnson with 2:57 left, but Hall scored all 11 of his first-half points to help Lehigh to a 38-32 halftime edge.
Lehigh outrebounded Delaware State 37-23 for the game.
