ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP)—Chris Harris scored a game-high 22 points and ignited a second-half surge to lead Navy to a 66-55 comeback victory over Howard on Sunday.
Navy trailed by six points with 10:13 remaining when Harris hit a deep 3-pointer to begin an 18-5 run.
Kaleo Kina scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for Navy (1-1), which finished the game on a 17-1 run. Jordan Sugars scored 12 points for the Midshipmen, who saw a 32-29 halftime lead evaporate quickly in the second half.
Randy Hampton scored 15 points to lead Howard (1-1), which outscored the home team 20-11 to open the second half and take a 49-43 lead with less than 11 minutes to go. But the Bison followed that by going scoreless for a stretch of more than seven minutes.
