Coll. of Charleston beats TCU 87-75
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP)—Andrew Goudelock scored 18 points, and the College of Charleston withstood a rally by Texas Christian to score a 87-75 victory Sunday night in the Charleston Classic.
Charleston (2-1) led 60-40 with 16:14 to play, but the Horned Frogs (1-2) got back in the game with a 12-0 run over the next five minutes. With 8:30 to play, TCU had cut the Charleston lead to five points. The Cougars responded with Goudelock scoring on a runner from the lane and, after a TCU turnover, Tony White Jr. hit free throw to push the lead back to 10.
Dustin Scott added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Cougars. Kevin Langford led the Horned Frogs with 27 points.
TCU shot 47.4 percent from the field, but made only one 3-pointer in seven attempts and lost the turnover battle 12-2.
