Cornell beats South Dakota 79-69
ITHACA, N.Y. (AP)—Ryan Wittman scored 25 points and added seven rebounds, five assists and one steal for the Big Red as Cornell beat Div. I newcomer South Dakota 79-69.
Tyler Cain had 17 points, seven rebounds, an assist and two steals for South Dakota Friday night. Louie Krogman had 20 points, including four 3-pointers, and Dylan Grimsley added 18 points and nine rebounds.
Geoff Reeves scored a personal best 21 points for Cornell and had one rebound, one assist and one steal, while Alex Tyler posted a game-high 10 rebounds.
Cornell shot 47.5 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from beyond the arc, while the Coyotes hit 42.6 percent from the floor and 34.8 from 3-point range.
