Bradley downs Ill.-Chicago 67-61
PEORIA, Ill. (AP)—Theron Wilson had a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds and Dodie Dunson had 21 points to lead Bradley to a 67-61 victory over Illinois-Chicago on Friday.
Sam Maniscalco had 14 points and Chris Roberts added 12 for Bradley (1-0), which led by as many as 11 points in the second period.
Robo Kreps led Illinois-Chicago (1-0) with 24 points. Scott Vandermeer had 15 points and 11 rebounds for his own double-double and Josh Mayo added 13 points for the Flames.
Illinois-Chicago lost two starters, Tori Boyd and Spencer Stewart, to foul trouble. Overall the Flames had 32 personal fouls to 20 for the Braves.
The Flames led by 12 points in the first period during a game that changed hands four times and was tied six times.
Bradley allowed 15 turnovers, leading to 14 Illinois-Chicago points.
