Achara, Duquesne defeat Saint Louis 85-58

PITTSBURGH (AP)—Kieron Achara was 12-for-12 from the line and scored 24 points as Duquesne snapped a five-game losing streak with an 85-58 victory over Saint Louis on Saturday in the regular-season finale for both teams.

The Dukes (17-12, 7-9 Atlantic 10) boast a winning record for the first time in 14 seasons and won for the first time since a 63-61 decision over Dayton on Feb. 13.

Gary Tucker added 14 points, Reggie Jackson scored 12 and Kojo Mensah 11 for Duquesne, which closed out the first half with a 16-2 run, including a dunk by Tucker at the buzzer, for a 41-26 lead at the break. Jackson also had seven assists, six rebounds and four steals.

Kevin Lisch scored 20 points to lead Saint Louis (16-14, 7-9). Danny Brown added 12 for the Billikens, who lost three of their last four games.

Duquesne shot 24-for-29 from the line, including 16 in a row at one point.

The teams move on to A-10 tournament, starting Wednesday in Atlantic City, N.J.
