Oral Roberts downs S. Dakota St. 67-52
BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP)—Moses Ehambe scored 22 points to lead Oral Roberts University to a 67-52 Summit League victory over South Dakota State on Thursday.
Ehambe was the only player from ORU (21-7, 16-1) to reach double figures in scoring. Marcus Lewis, Adam Liberty and Andre Hardy had eight points apiece and three other players scored six.
The Golden Eagles took advantage of South Dakota State’s terrible first-half shooting. The Jackrabbits (8-20, 3-14) shot 10 percent from the field. They were 3-for-29 and made just one of 10 3-point attempts.
ORU shot 49 percent and took a 34-13 lead at the break.
SDSU recovered to shoot 54 percent in the second half and outscored the Eagles 39-33.
Kai Williams was SDSU’s only double-figure scorer with 10 points.
Shawn King had 10 rebounds, helping ORU to a 47-30 rebounding edge.
