Goudelock helps College of Charleston beat Georgia Southern 91-86
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP)—Andrew Goudelock scored 18 points Thursday night to help College of Charleston beat Georgia Southern 91-86.
Dustin Scott added 17 points and a key steal late for the Cougars (13-16, 8-11 Southern Conference), who tied a season-high with 12 3-pointers while shooting 50 percent for the game. Jermaine Johnson added 13 points as one of five players in double figures for College of Charleston.
Willie Powers and Anthony Marshall each had 18 points for the Eagles (20-10, 13-6), who lost despite shooting 53 percent.
Goudelock scored 12 points to help the Cougars take a 45-39 halftime lead, which grew to 15 points early in the second half. Georgia Southern closed to within four points with about 13 minutes left only to see College of Charleston push the lead to 13, then rallied again to within 88-86 with 21 seconds to play.
But Tony White Jr. hit two free throws with 13 seconds left, then Scott stole a pass at midcourt to help seal the win.
