Durham leads Winston-Salem past N.C. A&T

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP)—Jamal Durham scored 17 points to lead four double-figure scorers for Winston-Salem State, which beat North Carolina A&T 71-63 on Saturday night.

Darrell Wonge added 16 points and Roy Peake had 14 for the Rams (10-15), who shot 53.2 percent and withstood the Aggies’ torrid first half, outscoring them 40-29 in the final 20 minutes for the victory.

Paul Davis scored 11 points for Winston-Salem State, which turned 16 A&T turnovers into 23 points.

Jason Wills had 23 points and Robert Johnson added 14 for the Aggies (13-13), who shot 70 percent in the first half but allowed the Rams to make 60 percent of their attempts after halftime.
