Delaware 77, Toledo 69

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP)—Marc Egerson scored 22 points and had 12 rebounds to lift Delaware past Toledo 77-69 on Saturday night.

The Blue Hens (12-15) was hanging on 70-67 after Toledo’s Jonathan Amos hit a jumper with 2:12 left, then scored the next seven points to pull away.

Herb Courtney added 18 points, Brian Johnson had 12 and Alphonso Dawson 11 for Delaware. D.J. Boney only scored six points, but he had the first four in the late 7-0 run.

Amos had 16 points and Jerrah Young, Ridley Johnson and Tyrone Kent each added 12 for the Rockets (8-17).

After Amos’ basket, Boney scored on a layup to push the lead to 72-67 with 1:33 left. Toledo turned the ball over before Boney was fouled with a minute remaining and hit both free throws. Johnson then added two more foul shots and Egerson hit another before Young closed the scoring with a dunk in the final seconds.
