North Texas routs Louisiana-Monroe in Sun Belt win
MONROE, La. (AP)—Quincy Williams scored 17 points to lead four North Texas players in double figures as the Mean Green crushed Louisiana-Monroe, 72-40, on Wednesday in a Sun Belt Conference matchup.
North Texas (17-9, 8-7) held Louisiana-Monroe to a season-low 13 points in the opening period and the Warhawks (10-17, 4-11) hit just 28.3 percent of their shots. Louisiana-Monroe finished the game with 16 turnovers and 13 field goals made.
