Williams, Cerasoli lead Loyola of Chicago to 68-61 win over Valparaiso

CHICAGO (AP)—Darrin Williams and Justin Cerasoli each scored 19 points to lead Loyola of Chicago to a 68-61 win over Valparaiso on Wednesday night.

J.R. Blount added 16 points for Loyola (10-16, 6-10 Horizon League), which outscored Valparaiso 11-1 over the final three minutes of the game. Williams and Cerasoli combined for 10 of those points.

The win snaps a three-game losing streak for the Ramblers.

Valparaiso (15-12, 6-9) led 23-14 in the first half, but Loyola went on a 19-5 run that boosted the Ramblers to a 33-28 lead at halftime.

Urule Igbavboa led Valparaiso with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jake Diebler added 11 points for the Crusaders.

The Ramblers outrebounded Valparaiso 44-29. Andy Polka had 10 rebounds for Loyola.
