Hartford hits 18 from 3-point range, beats New Hampshire 82-63
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP)—Joe Zeglinski scored 31 points and Morgan Sabia added 20 as Hartford routed New Hampshire 82-63 on Sunday.
Zeglinski hit 11 of his 13 shots, including 9-of-10 from 3-point range. Sabia hit five of his seven shots from behind the arc, and the Hawks (15-13, 9-4 America East) were 18-of-27 from 3-point range as a team.
Hartford has won five straight, the team’s longest winning streak in four years.
Eric Gilchrese, who came in averaging just over 10 points, had 26 for New Hampshire (7-18, 4-9), which dropped its fifth in a row. Tyrone Conley added 13.
The teams have now split their regular season series for four consecutive years. New Hampshire won the first meeting in Durham by 24, 74-50 on Jan. 27.
The Wildcats were not in this one for most of the game. Hartford led 44-25 at halftime.
