NEW YORK (AP)—Durell Vinson had 19 points and 19 rebounds and Wagner won its fourth straight, 68-61 over Monmouth on Saturday night.
Vinson’s second consecutive double-double was his 10th of the season, the 23rd of his career.
Mark Porter had with 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Seahawks (19-6, 11-2 Northeast Conference). Joey Mundweiler added 13 points.
Nick DelTufo had 13 points for the Hawks (5-20, 2-11), who have lost six straight, while R.J. Rutledge added 10.
The score was tied at 33 at halftime.
After Monmouth’s Jhamar Youngblood hit one of two free throws to tie the score at 43 with 11:30 left, Mundweiler’s 3-pointer ignited a 12-4 run to put Wagner ahead 55-47 at 6:39. Vinson capped the run with a foul shot.
The Hawks used their own 12-4 run to tie it at 59 with 1:28 remaining, culminating with a 3-pointer by Rutledge.
Porter went 7-of-8 from the line in a 9-2 run to seal the win for Wagner.
