Agudio leads Hofstra to 86-85 win over James Madison
HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP)—Antoine Agudio scored 30 points, including two jumpers in the final minute to lead Hofstra to a 86-85 win over James Madison on Saturday.
The Pride (9-16, 6-9 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 85-80 with 2:12 to play on a 3-pointer by Heiden Ratner before Charles Jenkins cut the lead to 85-82 with 1:03 left. Agudio scored his two jumpers with less than 20 seconds remaining giving Hosftra the edge.
The Dukes (11-14, 4-11) trailed 46-45 at the half and both teams kept it close, tying it up seven times in the second.
Charles Jenkins added 22 for the Pride, Darren Townes had 13 and Dane Johnson 11.
Abdulai Jalloh led James Madison with 24 points, Juwann James added 22, Kyle Swanston had 17 and Terrance Carter had 11.
